BREAKING: Newt Gingrich’s Turbulent Interview on Glenn Beck

Newt Gingrich was on Glenn Beck today.  Here is a transcript of the interview. Audio and video will follow.

Glenn grills him on Medicare, the individual mandate, Cap and Trade and a “green” conservatism and Newt provides intelligent and thoughtful answers.  You decide if they are conservative enough for you.  Newt’s focus is on the power of the freedom of individuals to chose a private sector option, as a means of shrinking government.

Hey, at least he is not Romney.

H/T to Drudge for the heads up on this.

Herman Cain to Endorse Newt Gingrich

Thank you Herman Cain.  I feared a Mittens endorsement was in the offing. That would have been too much to take one month out from Iowa.

Instead I woke up to this link on Drudge : REPORT: Cain to Endorse Gingrich Today...

ATLANTA – Herman Cain might be out of the running as a Republican presidential candidate, but his voice still carries weight with his many loyal supporters. Since he bowed out of the race Saturday , there has been much speculation on who he would endorse.

Sources tell FOX 5 News that Herman Cain plans to endorse fellow Georgian Newt Gingrich on Monday. They say details of a formal announcement are still being worked out.

Gingrich is also going up on the air in Iowa with his first ad today titled “Rebuilding the America We Love.”

It is going to be a good day for Newt.

BREAKING: Iran says it shot down unmanned US spy plane

Oh, for a Commander in Chief.

The Associated Press is reporting that Iran has just shot down an unmanned spy plane. A RQ-170 Sentinel also known as “The Beast of Kandahar.” This is going to get awkward for the Obama administration. I hope the GOP will show some leadership on this issue, but I doubt it.

Associated Press

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran’s armed forces have shot down an unmanned U.S. spy plane that violated Iranian airspace along the country’s eastern border, the official IRNA news agency reported Sunday.

An unidentified military official quoted in the report warned of a strong and crushing response to any violations of the country’s airspace by American drone aircraft.

“An advanced RQ-170 unmanned American spy plane was shot down by Iran’s armed forces. It suffered minor damage and is now in possession of Iran’s armed forces,” IRNA quoted the official as saying.

No further details were published.
