I have been a fan of Camille Paglia‘s work now for over a decade. I used her female type of the Mercurius as she developed it in “Sexual Personae“as a basis for my MA Thesis on the use of that character type in Shakespearian tragedy.

I love her writing style and her fearless way she attacks a subject and our culture. She is one of my favorite cultural critics.  She recently gave an interview to the Wall Street Journal which is worth your time to read if you have not already. It it she gores some of the lefts most sacred cows. She is not a social conservative, but she is steeped in the virtues of the western canon and culture, especially within the arts.

Enjoy her most recent interview with the WSJ:The Weekend Interview With Camille Paglia: A Feminist Defense of Masculine Virtues – WSJ.com.

She also had something to say about the whole “Duck Dynasty” flap which you might find interesting: Camille Paglia: ‘Duck Dynasty’ Uproar Is “Fascist” And “Stalinist” (downtrend.com)
