Rick Santorum Defends SOPA: “Your free speech rights can be incredibly harmful to someone else.”

This reminds me of everything I don’t like about Santorum.

For me the money quote comes at 3:23:

“Your free speech rights can be incredibly harmful to someone else.”

That sends chills up my spine.

See and judge for yourself whether you want him as your nominee.

  1. The man does not know anything about SOPA, and should just be quiet, instead of showing his ignorance.
And speech CAN be harmful, hurtful and very bad, as in various kinds of bullying and inciting.
It is also falsely called, freedom of “expression”…where is THAT one?
Definitions of “free”speech do need to be made….to fend off abuse of it by really stupid people, who screw it up for everyone else.
    Good judgement comes to mind.
I also find this link very telling ( Is Santorum a progressive on the right ? Dangerous indeed?):

He will not get MY endorsement!

  2. Forget about SOPA, he doesn’t seem to even grasp the meaning of Rights (4:01) “Of course, your rights, might infringe upon my rights… ” and right afterwards “In the case of piracy, your right to engage in certain activities on the internet… my violate my rights to practice… commerce” WTH?! A surprising lack of understanding of property rights and Rights in general, and add to that the muddling of regulations with laws, and wanting to regulate what laws already forbid (theft, etc)….

We’re supposed to restore and defend the republic… with THESE people?!
